Master Class 2013: Sunsets and Sunglasses

Storch-BadgeAttention class!! It’s time for a new assignment so settle down! We need to review last week’s assignment first. I think there must have been some kind of summer fever going on because the assignments were few this week. Perhaps everyone is just resting up for their final exam? Hmmm?

Last week, David chose a line from Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities “The sunset struck so brilliantly into the travelling carriage when it gained the hilltop, that its occupant was steeped in crimson.” This line brought out an interesting blend of genres this week.

Shannon brought Mort back and made us all fall in love with him again and introduced us to some fun new characters. This is one you must put on your reading list as there will be more to come!!

David brought us a “Choose Your Adventure” Story of a battle not yet won. Have some fun and stop by and pick your choice so he can continue this well-written and highly addictive tale!

The Professor wrote a dark piece about a count with a score to settle.

Carrie returned to her Rachel story, sharing a new side of Seraphina we haven’t seen yet. The story was crafted so well it stuck with me this week.

I like to twist things as you know, and I did that with the prompt this week, too. Instead of a book, I asked Carrie to choose a line from her favorite song. She chose:

For your assignment this week, you must use this line at the end of your story, bonus points if you use it as the very last line.

Since this weekend is a holiday weekend, I am extending the deadline to Wednesday, May 29, at noon, 12:00 PM EST.

The link up is now live.

Ready? Set? Write!!

  1. Comparing the actual electoral politics on most Western in addition to Eastern European union is like comparing hay day cheatsism along with post-hay time cheatsism.

“Paisano” the column focuses on peasant dishes from around the world, Paisano the character
is fictional. The kitchen flooring is where the couple decided to spend their renovation funds.

  2. Sorry I missed class last week Prof! Turns out, divorce takes a hella lot more time (not to mention plate dodging) than getting hitched ever did!

  3. Definitely some excellent entries in there this week. Looking forward to see what this new one brings out!
